High tech meets Design: The Agree GTC frame is a completely new development. In the frame we have incorporated our experience gained from the predecessor model and the highlights of last year’s Litening HPC. Combined with the new dynamic Cube styling we have put a comfort-oriented racer on the road. The Agree GTC’s monocoque construction using our Twin Mould technology guarantees even layer structure and prevents dangerous folding on the inside of the frame. At the same time the resin content is reduced to its bare minimum. A conical steering tube offers outstanding steering head rigidity which gives the rider a feeling of security in any situation and absolute control in conjunction with the Easton EC70 forks. Use of the Shimano Press-Fit inner bearing gives us the ability to design an extremely wide bottom bracket bearing housing which can be integrated at maximum width into the chain stays and down tube. In that way the carbon fibres can run very evenly along the bottom bracket and thus create a perfect distribution of forces to the steering tube and into the chain stays. Wafer-thin seat stays together with a comfortable carbon fibre layer structure in the chain stays provide outstanding comfort even on rough road surfaces. This also makes long-distance rides extremely comfortable and for that reason is the ideal travelling companion for ambitious racers and marathon riders.

Floating shape – powerful acceleration: The conically tapered head-tube includes a low-maintenance fully integral steering set and has particularly high rigidity which makes possible precise handling in sharp bends and great security in sprints. To reinforce the bottom bracket press-fit inner bearings with a much wider housing are used. Due to this the wider connection of bottom tube, seat tube and chain stays to the bottom bracket greatly increase bottom bracket rigidity. Narrow seat stays increase vertical flexing and hence comfort. Flowing sculpture imparts to our Litening Super HPC the impression of lighter and more graceful mFSS-Frame Save System: To protect our high-end aluminium frames these are built with the CUBE Frame Save System replaceable derailleur hanger. HPC-High Performance Composite: Ever since the first use of carbon as a strengthening agent, late 1960’s carbon is surrounded by an aura of substantives. Carbon is associated with terms like extremely stiff, professional material and the black gold. The characteristic black colour is the result of the heating of the polymer named polyacrylnitril. The fine treads visible are bundled parallel and even in this early stadium already are very strong and can carry heavy loads. By treating the bundles with carbon with an artificial resin, mostly epoxy resin, the fibres are connected and fixated. After drying and hardening the fibres get their Matrix coating to protect from harmful influences like chemicals and UV radiation. The spectrum of fibres ranges from extremely stiff to very compliant. The union of the fibres with epoxy resin embeds the features like stiffness and compliance in larger woven sheets of material. These sheets are woven together multi directional. Next the material is constructed to the needed shape and get a heat treatment. The technical advantage of carbon is the combination of rigidity and flexibility. This can only be reached by the exact mixture of fibres applied in the right direction and the correct execution of processes. To test the quality of our HPC frames we use the finite element technology. Running a computer simulation with a certain mixture of fibres and the forces projected by use we get a good impression of the frames’ capabilities.
